Once Upon a Villain: Reimagining Fairy Tales

$180.00

Every villain has a story. In this six-week, in-person workshop, teen writers will reimagine classic fairy tales from the perspective of their misunderstood antagonists. Through creative prompts, group discussion, and guided lessons, participants will explore motivation, backstory, and moral complexity—crafting fresh takes on familiar tales.

Writers will build skills in character development, voice, and revision while discovering how even the darkest figures can reveal something deeply human. By the end of the workshop, each student will complete an original reimagined fairy tale that turns “once upon a time” on its head.

Format: Six weekly in-person sessions (90 minutes each)
Ages: 12–17
Tuition: $180 total
Location: Instructor’s home, SE Bloomington
